Yesterday we all got to play dress up when about 50 people came for a Living Museum. The group consisted of many homeschooled students with their parents and siblings. We greeted the group on the porch, guided them through our beautiful home and spoke to them about the importance of learning and preserving history. We always try to do our best in doing so! Miss Hazel May was kind enough to bake some cookies for the students (and we got to have some ourselves!) Yummy! Yesterday acted as a dress rehearsal for Miss Jordan, the new Museum Coordinator, as this was her first Living Museum. Now we can look forward to the large Living Museum that we have every spring for the local fourth graders!
Today we are busy getting ready for the Ice Cream Social tomorrow (Sunday) which is sure to be a great and delicious time! For only a $5 donation everyone who visits us can enjoy some delectable ice cream, pie and cake as well as board games, a free tour through the Carroll Mansion and a beautiful day outside! Several old-fashioned cars will be displayed as well as a neat, old fire truck! Bring your kids, parents, siblings, friends and anyone in between. We look forward to seeing you!
